South Rim Airplane and Hummer Tour

This tour combination allows guests to capture incredible aerial views of the Grand Canyon before exploring the National Park aboard a custom Hummer vehicle!  Your adventure begins with an airplane tour over the Kaibab National Forest, Confluence of the Little Colorado river, Dragon Corridor, Zuni Corridor, and Imperial Point.

After the airplane portion of your tour, passengers will transfer to the second part of your adventure – a ground tour through the national park aboard a customized open-air Hummer vehicle. The Hummer tour makes several stops along the rim of the canyon and may include Duck on a Rock, Yavapai Point, and Moran Point. Guests can get out of the Hummer at each stop to take incredible pictures.

Duration:

  • Tour Duration: Approximately 3.5 hours
  • Flight Duration: Approximately 40-50 minutes
  • Hummer Tour: Approximately 2 hours (sunset tour is 3 hours)
 

Departure Point:

  • The tour departs from Grand Canyon National Park Airport.
  • Guests MUST provide their own transportation to the terminals.  Check-in is 30 minutes prior to departure time.

Important Information:

  • All passengers 18 years and older must present a government-issued photo ID.
  • The airplane is equipped with high wings and large windows for optimum view and air-conditioned for comfort. Multilingual narration is available.
  • Open-air Hummer during the warmer months and enclosed during the colder months.
  • Layered clothing is recommended from April to September; Winter Clothing is recommended from October to March
  • Sneakers or hiking boots are highly recommended or shoes that are flat and sturdy.
  • During the Hummer portion of the tour, a car seat or booster seat is required for children under 8 years old or shorter than 4 feet, 9 inches tall. Car seats and booster seats are provided at no additional cost, or you may bring your own.
